Waves is available for wedding receptions and celebrations.

The versatility and location on Guernsey’s rugged West coast provides a spectacular venue for your most important of days, while its chic, clean interior is a blank canvass for you to create exactly the look you want.

Exclusive hire of both our banqueting rooms offers the complete venue for your special day. If you need somewhere to stay on your wedding night, or would like a base for your family and friends during the day, we have eight luxurious apartment suites (sleeping up to 45 persons)

Whatever the size of your wedding, whether you are planning a candlelit dinner, a banquet or a wedding buffet, we are happy to share with you all our ideas and contacts and do all we can to ensure you have the most magical day.

Lily Room can seat a maximum of 95 for a banquet with round/oval tables.  This number can be slightly increased with the use of rectangular trestle tables.  The Ormer Room could cater for a banquet for up to 70 persons.  The maximum standing capacity for the Lily Room is 180 and the Ormer Room is 100.

Our Lily Room can be extended by way of a marquee to substantially increase capacity, which would allow for banquets up to 150 persons.  The approximate cost of the marquee is 700GBP to include interior lining  and lighting.

Alternatively, if you are planning on having a small intimate wedding, why not consider hiring our Herm Suite for 500GBP.  Enjoy fine dining on the huge outside terrace, whilst overlooking Vazon Bay and fabulous sunsets.  The tariff includes accommodation for 4 persons.

Exclusive hire of the rooms is simply that.  The rooms are available empty for the bride and groom to dress and furnish the venue exactly HOW THEY WANT IT.  There are no set times for the sit down meal, the bride and groom are in control of their own special day away from the restrictions imposed by some venues.

The Lily and Ormer rooms are obviously part of the structure of Waves Apart-Hotel which make the rooms very weatherproof as opposed to marquee weddings. 

There is a fully equipped catering kitchen at Waves which can be utilised by the caterers chosen by the bride and groom.

Food

Good food and drink is an essential part of all weddings. With this in mind, we recommend Sueco who provide fantastic service and delicious food tailored to suit your taste and budget. Working from our professional catering kitchen, they will look after your drinks reception, wedding feast and evening buffet.  Sueco offer 3 course fine dining wedding banquets from 28GBP per head. Drink

You are welcome to bring all your own wines for your drinks reception and wedding feast – as a venue we do not charge corkage, however Sueco are likely to charge corkage/glass hire.  Corkage is normally 7GBP per bottle which covers the cost of ; service, hire of glassware, cost of any glass breakages and all washing up of glassware.

If your drink is delivered a day or two in advance we will ensure it is properly chilled.

Bar service can usually be provided by the caterers.

Wine and Champagne can of course be supplied by Sueco.  Wine prices from 14.50GBP/bottle, Sparkling Wine from 15.75GBP per bottle and Champagne from 39.50GBP per bottle.

Table Linen and Chair Cover Packages for a table of 10 from 45GBP

Hire of 6 foot round tables from 6.30GBP each and hire of conference chairs from £1.40GBP each.
